The authors advocate the thesis that - besides the prevailing ethnological tradition in Slovenia - there also exists a strong anthropological line of thought. Their article presents a review of some of the most eminent supporters of this line of thought. Due to the undefined borderline between anthropology and the-in Slovenia-paramount ethnology, the authors emphasize the views of relevant Slovene authors on the relation between the two disciplines.
