This contribution, bearing the somewhat provocative title How to sell you a blue sky and the sub-title How long is the path from Utopia to reality, deals with the present state of the Museum of Non-European Cultures in the castle Goričane near Ljubljana, which is undergoing a spatial and conceptual transformation as well as changes i n personnel. Bearing in mind the present-day utopianism of all kinds of investments in culture, the article proposes a point of departure for an optimal museological spatial plan and tries to ground the so-called
Utopia in the reality of the present moment.
