A guest exhibition of the Posavje Museum Brežice accompanying the exhibition Ourselves at the Table: From the Material to the Symbolic.

The exhibition presents the remarkable life of Ivan Ivačič, the first master chef to have found his way into Slovenian homes with his cooking show between 1960 and 1975.

His personal possessions, donated to the Posavje Museum Brežice mostly by his son Peter Ivačič, cooking show recordings, cookery books, photographs and documents, are a testament to his eventful life. The cookery books he authored were an important part of his life – the first one was published in 1965 and was last reprinted in 2021 on the 100th anniversary of his birth.
