Niko Kuret and the Slovene ethnographic film
In 1957 Niko Kuret founded the Ethnographic Film Board with the Slovene Ethnographic Society as it was then called. The board was to co-ordinate the co-operation between ethnographers and film producers. The establishment of such connections was advocated by the International Ethnographic Film Board (CIFE) and Niko Kuret took active participation in CIFEs international events until the early sixties. Niko Kuret promoted the Slovene ethnographic film in articles and reports and elaborated the theoretical and methodobgical foundations for its further development.
