The article focuses on the period between the two world wars and the first years after the Second World War. From old the wine trade was given much attention because it was a highly profitable business. The author introduces us to the spirit of the time in Ljubljana with detailed descriptions of families which engaged in the wine trade and quotations from the protocols of wine merchants' companies.
