In the article Population migration from the Brda region in the years before the annexation by Yugoslavia (15 September 1947), the author shares his findings on the subject. At that time foreigners in their entirety moved away from Brda. In addition, a portion of the better educated and ivealthicr Slovenes also left. This was a relatively large reduction in the population of the Brda region; about 11% of the population chose to live in Italy.
