The photographic exhibition presents masterpieces of the nomads of Kyrgyzstan and objects of decorative and applied art of the Kyrgyz people of the 19th and 20th centuries, reflecting continuity, tradition, handicraft techniques and ancient knowledge of craftsmen.

From century to century, the Kyrgyz people carefully preserve the ancient traditions of their land, which is reflected in their original, vibrant material and spiritual culture. Archaeological research and historical sources confirm that the Kyrgyz in their material culture continued the ancient nomadic traditions of the Saks, Wusuns, Huns and ancient Turks.

Among the many collections of the National History Museum of Kyrgyzstan, there are very interesting ethnographic collections, part of which is shown in the photographs. These are artfully crafted items such as horse harness, unique products made of felt, wool, leather and wood, a collection of national clothing, traditional Kyrgyz embroidery and original women's jewelry made of silver and coral, created by Kyrgyz craftsmen.

The exhibition, organized by the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in Slovenia in cooperation with SEM, strengthens friendly and cultural ties between the two countries.
