The donation of Japanese calligraphy is part of this year's Slovene Ethnographic Museum events dedicated to intercultural dialogue.

donated to the museum by Mrs Reisei, the artist
The painter and calligraphist Mrs. Reisei is currently creating modern calligraphic art, which combines traditional Japanese calligraphy with Chinese ink painting and feng-shui technique. Her calligraphies embody the power of cosmic world with modern Japanese art, which is highly appreciated in Japan. She is also active as an interior designer and she was also a very popular and known fashion model in Japan.
In 2008, Mrs. Reisei was granted the title of the 'Cultural ambassador to Slovenia' by the Ordre de Saint Fortunat (International society of friendship and charity of six European countries and Japan).
She was born in the town of Kobe in Japan to a Taiwanese father, her mother was a Japanese.
