Sparkling Wines of Slovenia

Slovenia has a rich tradition of high-quality sparkling wines.

The scope of exhibition display presents more than 160 sparkling wines, including sparkling meads, by 70 Slovenian wine producers, as well as Slovenian wine-growing regions, methods of production, classification, also by colour, and classification of sparkling wines into classes. Special attention is given to sparkling wines that were awarded the Decanter Awards 2020 in London.

The exhibition Slovenian sparkling wines, which marks the Slovenia - European Gastronomic Region 2021 project, was prepared by Biotechnical Education Center Ljubljana, represented by Mag. Jasna Kržin Stepišnik, Director, Mag. Tjaša Vidrih, Head of Vocational College, and the Slovene Ethnographic Museum, represented by Natalija Polenec, Director.
