Without a railway Podbrdo would be just a remote village
1996
Camera, commentary and editing Nadja Valentinčič, interview Matej Kodrič, production of The Association of Organisations for Technical Culture of Slovenia, VHS, DVD, 59 minutes
The film reveals how the building of the railway through Podbrdo (1900-1906) and its later existence influenced different spheres of life in the upper part of the Bača Valley. Most of the footage was shot during the 9th Alpine Youth Research Camp Podbrdo '95. The ethnographic film was devoted to the ninetieth anniversary of the Jesenice - Nova Gorica railway which celebrates its centenary in 2006.
